1. ABOUT THE DATA PROTECTION AND COOKIE POLICY  
We appreciate your visit to our website and the interest you have shown in our products. It is important to us that your data is processed confidentially, and we want to make sure that you feel secure about visiting our website and purchasing our products. We are very committed to protecting your personal data and complying with all applicable legislation on data protection.
This data protection and cookie policy aims to inform you as a user of our website, and as a customer (based on the purchase of a subscription to our web app or printed cat kit), about how Cat-Kit.com ApS, Avnsbjergvej 50, DK-4174 Jystrup, Denmark, telephone 0045 30528769, e-mail [email protected], VAT no. 28100981 (“CAT-kit”), pro-cesses your personal data and your rights in relation to our collection, processing and storage of your personal data.  
 
2. THE PURPOSE OF PROCESSING YOUR PERSONAL DATA
Our purpose in processing your personal data is to administer your customer relationship, including the delivery of your product purchases, and to give you greater customer satisfaction and a better user experience on our website. We do this through measures such as registering your online behaviour on our website, including your customer profile and product purchases, by targeting our marketing and campaign offers to you, via product surveys, provid-ing technical support on the website and collecting statistics. Your personal data is thereby necessary to perform specific actions, and it enables us to develop and optimise our products and our website. 
 
3. COLLECTION AND TYPES OF PERSONAL DATA 
When you visit our website, and when you as a customer make a purchase from our company, we register neces-sary personal data about you in relation to your website visit and your customer relationship.  
 
We collect your personal data in the following ways and from the following sources:
• You provide your personal data to us in connection with the registration of a customer profile and in con-nection with the purchase of our products on the website;
• When you enter data or upload photos or videos in the web app;
• Your online navigation and behaviour on our website; 
• Your participation in online campaigns and competitions, and product and questionnaire surveys via our website;
• When you subscribe to our newsletter via the website;
• When you use social media such as Facebook and Instagram, where you follow and perhaps comment on our posts, or use functions such as Like, Share or hashtags to communicate with us.
 
The personal data we process regarding you comprises:
• Identification data relating to your customer profile and your product purchases, including your name, com-pany/institution name, address, telephone number and e-mail address, and, if applicable, username and password;
• Data relating to the transaction (your purchase), including product type, payment method, price and pur-chase history;
• Data relating to use of the web app, including e.g. photos and videos.
• Data relating to your online behaviour on our website, including the name of your internet service provider, the website from which you visit us, the pages you view and how long you are on the pages.
 
4. LEGAL BASIS FOR THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA 
Data protection is an important part of our business, and we are responsible for the protection of your personal data when you are in contact with us. Our processing of your personal data is always performed in accordance with the applicable national and international rules and standards. 
 
The processing of your personal data occurs when at least one of the following conditions applies:
• The processing is necessary for the fulfilment of the purchase agreement to which you are a party and which relates to the purchase of our products; 
• You have granted your voluntary, specific, informed and unambiguous consent, e.g. when you consent to the use of our web app and when you consent to receive our newsletter;
• The processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation for our company, e.g. storage of accounting materials relating to the transaction of your product purchase in a given period; 
• The processing is necessary for us to pursue a legitimate interest that outweighs your interests. Our legit-imate interest can, for example, be the collection of statistics and preparation of analyses of the use of our website to improve the customer experience, and the registration of your preferences, etc. for the purpose of targeting our offer campaigns and advertisements to you; 
• The processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of a legal claim, e.g. in the event of a dispute regarding a given product. 
 
5. RECIPIENTS OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
Data you have provided to CAT-kit is never sold or transferred to third parties. We only exchange your personal data with the recipients where it is necessary in connection with your website visit and your customer relationship with us. We exchange personal data with the following recipients:
• Our partners and suppliers, who we have approved to assist us in connection with our business in general operations, e.g. in connection with the renewal of your customer subscription;
• Banks and financial institutions when you make a purchase from us;
• Public authorities, if required by law;
 
6. STORAGE AND DELETION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We store your personal data until it no longer is necessary for the purpose for which the data is processed. There-fore, your personal data will be deleted in accordance with the following procedures:
• Data in your customer profile and correspondence with you in this regard will be stored as long as you have a license and thus are considered an active customer. Subsequent storage will only take place if a special documentation consideration applies;
• Accounting data in connection with your purchase will be stored for 5 years from the end of the financial year to which the material relates.
• Data about your online navigation and behaviour will be deleted from 14 days up to one year after, depend-ing on the type of cookies. 
• Data you have provided in connection with product or questionnaire surveys will be deleted or anonymised after completion of the survey/competition;
• Identification and contact data related to newsletters to which you have subscribed will be deleted after you unsubscribe from the newsletter;
• Data you have stored in our web app will be stored until your license expires or you uninstall the web app. 
 
7. TRANSFER TO THIRD COUNTRIES
Your personal data will not be transferred to third countries, i.e. countries outside of the EU/EEA. To the extent that CAT-kit at a given time should transfer your personal data to a third country, e.g. if CAT-kit is to use an IT supplier located in a third country, CAT-kit will ensure that the transfer always takes place on a legal basis. The transfer basis may comprise a ruling by the European Commission regarding a sufficient level of protection, as is the case for Switzerland, the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses for the transfer of personal data to which the recipient is bound, or EU-U.S. Privacy Shield if the recipient is established in the USA and certified under this scheme.
 
8. YOUR RIGHTS
We have implemented a number of measures to protect your personal data and ensure your rights. Note that you are always entitled to request the exercise of a right, but that in certain cases the ability to accommodate your request may be limited, e.g. because certain specific conditions must be met, or an exception to this applies.  
 
Thus, you have the option of requesting access to and a copy of the personal data we process regarding you. You also have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, and this right can be exercised at any time if we process your personal data for the purpose of direct marketing. In addition, the you have the right to request the correction of incorrect data, deletion of your personal data, and limitation of the processing of your personal data. Lastly, you have the right to request data portability, i.e. you can request to receive the personal data you have given to us, in a structured and commonly used, machine-readable format, and to have this personal data transmitted to another vendor. To the extent that the processing of your personal data is based on an automated decision, and this decision significantly affects you, you have the right to be exempt from the automated deci-sion.
 
If you have consented to the processing of your personal data, e.g. in connection with the installation of our web app, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. However, if you withdraw your consent, this will not affect the processing of your personal data that took place prior to the withdrawal. Note that by 
 
9. COOKIES

CAT-kit does not own these websites and neither manages nor controls such third parties’ use of your per-sonal data. CAT-kit is therefore not responsible for the content of these websites, nor for the processing of your personal data in connection with them.

This data protection and cookie policy will be updated and charged periodically without prior notice, and when re-quired by changes to legislation and practices relating to data protection.
